Keynote: “European perspectives on the integration of migrant and refugee children”.

Anthony Heath is Emeritus Professor of Sociology at the University of Oxford and Nuffield College and he is Professor of Sociology at Manchester University. He is a Fellow of the British Academy and was co-Director of the British Election Studies between 1983-1997; he also conducted the 1997 Ethnic Minority Study and the 2010 Ethnic Minority British Election Study. Professor Heath wrote numerous books and articles on social stratification, inequality and mobility, British politics, social cohesion, and on ethnicity. For over 40 years, he has been studying ethnic inequality in education and employment. He has been focusing on intergenerational differences and researched educational attainment, educational participation, and careers of second-generation immigrants in Western societies. Currently, Prof. Heath has been researching discrimination on the labor market in the aftermath of Brexit.
